Our Legacy: The Founding of Indian Wells Country Club
Founded in 1956, Indian Wells Country Club was one of the first private clubs in the desert. Over dinner at Ruby’s restaurant in Palm Springs, Paul and Isabel Prom and Jean Susalla envisioned creating a golf and country club in the Coachella Valley. The original concept was a 9-hole private club surrounded by houses, offering Members a home away from home.
The Bob Hope Classic: A Historic Tradition
From 1960 to 2008, Indian Wells Country Club proudly hosted the Bob Hope Classic, a renowned PGA Tour event that attracted golf legends and celebrities alike. This prestigious tournament played a pivotal role in establishing our club as a premier destination for golf enthusiasts and elevated our reputation in the sport.
Embracing Tradition and Modernity
Today, Indian Wells Country Club continues to evolve, offering members a blend of tradition and modern amenities. With two stunning 18-hole courses and a commitment to providing exceptional experiences, we remain dedicated to fostering a close-knit community in the heart of California's Coachella Valley. Our Club is a vibrant hub for golf, dining, and social events, ensuring that Members enjoy a lifestyle that honors our rich heritage while embracing contemporary luxury.
The Future of Indian Wells
As we honor our past, we look to the future with a commitment to providing our Members with exceptional experiences for generations to come. Whether you're here for golf, dining, or simply to enjoy the desert's natural beauty, Indian Wells Country Club offers something for everyone.
