Set along the shores of the beautiful Lake Conroe and winding its way through the community, the golf course at April Sound Country Club provides Members with a challenging, visually attractive and enjoyable golf experience, offering 27 championship holes of golf, world-class practice facilities including an aquatic driving range, plus an active schedule of leagues, tournaments and lessons.

The Courses

27 holes of championship golf comprise the golf experience at April Sound, including our two beautiful 9-hole courses, the White Nine and the Blue Nine, as well as the 9-hole executive course where we host weekly Member tournaments. The course designer for the golf courses at April Sound Country Club is Carlton Gipson, a renowned expert in the field of golf course design. From the layout of the holes to the placement of the bunkers and water hazards, the designer's expertise is evident in every aspect of the courses at April Sound Country Club.

Leagues & Tournaments

Leagues
For information on any of these groups or how to join one or more of these fun associations, please stop in or call the pro shop. 

Couples’ Golf
During daylight savings season, couples meet at 4:30 on Wednesdays for a social 9-hole round. It’s a great way to meet fellow golfers.

Women’s Program
Two women’s groups meet regularly at April Sound Country Club: the Niners (ASNGA) and the April Sound Women’s Golf Association (ASWGA). The Niners are a 9-hole ladies’ group that hit the course every Thursday morning. ASWGA plays on Wednesday and Saturday mornings at 9 a.m. ASWGA plays on Thursday mornings with at least one monthly tournament. 

Men’s Program
The April Sound Country Club Men’s Golf Association (MGA) is highly active, with a tournament every second Saturday of the month, with rotating formats. In addition to the monthly tournaments, April Sound Country Club has numerous other events that should not be missed.

Crush It! Juniors Program

Based on principles of the American Development Model (ADM), April Sound Country Club’s Crush It! Juniors Program is a game-changing golf development program designed to help your junior golfers develop a deep love for the game and the abilities needed to perform on the course.

Whether new or familiar with the game and for fun or friendly competition, the program provides kids with the tools to engage proactively in life and learn valuable lessons they can use in all areas of their lives, while at the same time enabling them to engage in developmentally appropriate experiences and learning opportunities that connect child and family at every step through a progression pathway.

At the core of April Sound Country Club’s Crush It! Program is the development of a “golfer for life” through the motto, “Skills for golf, skills for life” by through:

Game On! Program

Whether you’re picking up a club for the first time or if you’re coming back to the sport after some time off, April Sound Country Club’s Game On! Program provides the ideal way for golfers to experience learning the game in an environment and structure that will enable them to build the skills, knowledge and social connections to actively play the game and maximize your April Sound Country Club membership.

Where Game On! differs from other traditional programs is that it does not measure success based on completing a set number of classes. Instead, success is defined when you have achieved the criteria set out within a 3-Level Progression Pathway that ensures you have harnessed the knowledge, experiences and appropriate level of skill to play the golf course. The length of time spent on the program varies between golfer but it’s why golf is a journey, not a marathon.
